Arriving by Car
Park and Ride Bus Services

We recommend using one of the five Park and Ride facilities around Cambridge. Which one is most convenient depends on the direction you are coming from. All Park and Ride buses stop at Drummer Street, from where it is about a 10-minute walk to reach both our punting and walking tour check-in points. If you choose Madingley Park and Ride, the bus stops at Grantchester Street, from which it takes about a 5-minute walk to our punting check-in point, and about 15 minutes to our walking tour meeting point. For more detailed information about each Park and Ride facility, please visit the official Cambridge City website (https://cambridgeparkandride.info). All Park and Ride buses accept cash or card payments, but do not accept London Oyster Cards.

City Centre Car Parks

Grand Arcade and Castle Hill car parks are close to the city centre and provide safe and reliable parking options. You can visit the Cambridge City Council website to find other parking options: (https://www.cambridge.gov.uk/parking). Please remember that traffic in Cambridge city centre can be very congested, especially on weekends. To ensure you arrive on time for your reserved tour, please allow at least 1–2 extra hours for your journey to avoid delays. There are also two Pay and Display parking areas — Pound Hill and Chesterton Lane — which are free after 5 PM.

Arriving by Train
It takes about 35 minutes on foot to reach our punting check-in point, which is very convenient. Walk straight along Station Road from the station front until you reach the traffic lights, then turn right and walk along Hills Road. Continue straight until you reach the city centre. It takes about 25 minutes on foot to reach our walking tour check-in point.
You can also take a bus — about 25 minutes ride, costing around £1.60. From the bus stop on the left side of the station, take the Hop-On Hop-Off bus, then get off at Silver Street, Queens’ College. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk to our punting check-in point, and about a 15-minute walk to our walking tour meeting point. You can pay for the bus ticket using cash or a credit card.
You can also take a taxi, which takes about 10 minutes to reach either of our check-in points. The taxi rank is located at the entrance of Cambridge Railway Station, and the fare is about £10. For punting, please ask the driver to take you to The Granta Pub, 14 Newnham Road, Cambridge, CB3 9EX — our departure station is right next to it. For the walking tour, please ask the driver to drop you off at Great St Mary’s Church, King’s Parade.
Arriving by Coach
The nearest coach drop-off point is located on Queens’ Road. From there, it is about a 5-minute walk across the bridge to our punting tour check-in point, and about 15 minutes to our walking tour check-in point. Please note that this drop-off point is for passenger drop-off only, and there is no designated long-term coach parking area.
